Money in the camp.
So that it would be more difficult to escape, the authorities of the camp did not allow the internees to keep French money. The prisoners who had some had to give it to the commandant of the camp, who gave them coupons in return. Those coupons could be used inside the camp only.
The first coupon for 5 francs.
« P. G. » means « prisonnier de guerre » (POW)
The approximate size of the cardboard coupons for 1 franc and 2 francs is 30 X 30 mm.
« M. I. » means « Ministère de l’Intérieur » (Home Office / Department of the Interior)
